There is no doubt about who is the ski world's sprint queen right now.

Linn Svahn, who yesterday for the first time defeated Therese Johaug in a distance competition when she won the mass start over 10 km classic, today won the sprint final in Falun, just ahead of Anamarija Lampic.

Two more Swedes were in the final: Jonna Sundling finished third and Johanna Hagström fourth.

Sprinted away on the riot

Svahn controlled the race.

She was just behind Anamarija Lampic up on the crest, and then slipped past before sprinting away in the riot.

- She controls and sets and puts the stake perfectly on the run, says SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist.

"Never sure"

However, Svahn himself did not feel confident of victory.

- I am never sure of victory before I cross the finish line, she said in the victory interview a few minutes after the race, and continued a little later:

- It is a high level right now and tough to take a victory in every race.

But I am very happy that I managed to do it!

Especially now that it was a classic sprint, because that's my main goal this year.

The victory was Svahn's fourth straight sprint win in the World Cup.

In total, she has now won seven sprint competitions in the World Cup, and a total of eleven World Cup victories.
