Armand Duplantis won the competition when he sailed over 5.86.

Then he took 5.91 on the first try and 6.01 on the second.

He also tried to set a new world record of 6.19 - but failed.

Afterwards, Duplantis is praised for his efforts.

- It's the best premiere he's done.

It is always difficult to know where you stand in a premiere.

Getting it right in the first competition is very difficult.

They rode on built-up tracks that fail a lot and as a rule I think "Mondo" gets more out of fixed tracks as he is the fastest pole vaulter in the world, says SVT Sports expert Alhaji Jeng and continues:

- If you look at when he broke the world record, it was on fixed tracks. I think he can break world records during the indoor season.
