Russian speed skater Pavel Kulizhnikov won the 500m race at the World Cup in Heerenveen. The Russian won with a score of 34.475. Kulizhnikov managed to get ahead of the Canadian Laurent Dubreya and the Dutchman Dai Dai Ntaba. Another representative of Russia, Artyom Arefiev, became the fourth, and Ruslan Murashov showed the sixth result.
