The reigning world champion Denmark has had two thrilling matches in the playoffs but is now ready for the final on Sunday night 17.30.

Sweden sensationally beat France, who have won four of the last six championships, in their semi-final.

It will be Sweden's eighth World Cup final and the first time you meet Denmark that goes up in its fifth final.

- We have encountered the Danes many times over the years and it has usually been very even and emotional matches, so it will be really fun to meet them in a Scandinavian derby on Sunday, says Andreas Palicka.

"Now the most important match remains"

Sweden has surprised a lot and just going to the quarterfinals was a great success for the inexperienced team who had the charge disrupted by covid cases and restrictions.

There is no satiety but the hunger for a peeling gold is great.

- We will continue to focus on ourselves and our self-confidence is really at its peak after our latest achievements.

What we have done here is fantastic, now the most important match remains and we feel proud that we get the opportunity to play for the World Cup gold, says Palicka.

Norwegian Glenn Solberg has had an incomparable breakthrough in his first tournament as Swedish national team captain.

- It is fantastic to know that we are one of the world's two best teams and that we will play the World Cup final on Sunday.

The reigning European champion and the reigning world champion settled in the second semifinal and now we know that it will be Denmark that is on the other side in the final.

An incredibly good team with great breadth, but we have shown here in the WC that we are also fantastically good and we go into that match also with the knowledge that we can win if we continue to do what we are best at, Solberg sums up the thoughts before the final.
