The Ski Nordic Combined World Cup was held in Austria on the 30th, and Japanese ace Akito Watabe came in second at the top of the Japanese team and went up to the podium for three consecutive races.

Watanabe won the World Cup in Finland on the 24th of this month for the first time this season, and was held in Seefeld, Austria on the 30th with the aim of breaking the record, in line with Kenji Ogiwara's highest number of Japanese players. I participated in the individual competition of the World Cup.



Watanabe finished second in the first half of the jump on a normal hill with a hill size of 109 meters, which started 27 seconds behind the top without increasing the flight distance to 97 meters in the unfavorable tailwind.



In the cross-country skiing of 10km in the second half, when the Finnish player in 3rd place, who had a difference of 30 seconds or more at the start, overtook him near the turn, he continued to fight for 2nd place.



Watanabe continued the race with just behind the 2nd place player until the end of the race, and before entering the straight line just before the goal, he raised the gear at a stretch and overtook him, and he finished in 2nd place as it was.



This is the fourth podium of the season for three consecutive races.



Other Japanese players were Ryota Yamamoto in 20th place, Hideaki Nagai in 22nd place, Kodai Kimura in 40th place, and Sora Taniji in 47th place.



The winner was Jarl Magnus Riiber of Norway, who is aiming for the third consecutive all-around victory.
