AC Milan recovered from two losses in a row with a 1-2 win over Bologna on Saturday.

The Serie A leader did not suffer from a missed penalty kick from star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 39-year-old Ibrahimovic was allowed to dock from 11 meters in the 26th minute - Mitchell Dijks had committed a foul - and he missed for the third time this season.

Keeper Lukasz Skorupski made the save, but Milan striker Ante Rebic was still accurate in the rebound.

Early in the second half, Milan received another penalty kick and this time Ibrahimovic left the job to Franck Kessié, who did score.

The Bologna van Dijks and Jerdy Schouten then came no further than a late connection goal by Andrea Poli.

The strong Milan of trainer Stefano Pioli last week lost hard at home against Atalanta (0-3) and lost 2-1 to rival Internazionale in the Coppa Italia midweek.

After that game, it was mainly about an argument between Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku.

After twenty games, Milan, which has been chasing the first league title since 2011, is five points ahead of number two Inter in Serie A. The competition will still play this weekend.
