Falun showed off its best side with radiant sun when it was time for 15 kilometers classic for the men.

It was an even starting field where they took turns to take the lead but usually led by Russian Alexander Bolshunov, Norwegian Pål Golberg and Finnish Ivo Niskanen.

After half the race, it was Bolshunov who was in the lead where the best Swede was William Poromaa in seventh place.

However, it would be a real mess for the big favorite Bolshunov when he crashed with several skiers, including Andrew Musgrave, just before the time of 8.9 kilometers.

Came back

The Russian ended up far behind the other riders at the top in terms of placement, but in terms of time he was only nine seconds behind.

And after a few more kilometers, he was back at the top after an intense drive.

Shortly after 12.5 kilometers, Bolshunov chose to press the gas firmly and pull away from the others.

- It is completely unbelievable that he can handle it, says SVT's commentator Jacob Hård.

Bolshunov held off and won

But with 1.1 kilometers left, the Norwegians Pål Golberg and Johannes Høsflot Kläbo had returned to the back of the Russian and it was extremely even in the riot.

There, Alexander Bolshunov managed to stay ahead of the others and took his second straight victory in Falun.

- He's a machine, it's terribly impressive.

He is the one who creates the gap and decides this.

There is no doubt that he is the world's best skier right now, says SVT's expert Anders Blomquist.

Burman is the best Swede

Goal photo had to decide who came first from Kläbo and Golberg and took second place and in the end it was Kläbo who pulled the longest straw.

Best Swede was Jens Burman who drove in on a tenth place, before compatriot William Poromaa who finished eleventh.

Oskar Svensson came in 13th place and Calle Halfvarsson came first in 34th place.
