On January 30, there are 200 days before the opening of the 2021 Chengdu Universiade.
This is the third time that mainland China has hosted the Universiade after the Beijing Universiade in 2001 and the Shenzhen Universiade in 2011, and it is also the first time a world comprehensive sports event has been held in Western China.
Currently, the construction of Chengdu Universiade venues is accelerating.
The main structure construction of 13 new venues including the main venue Dong'an Lake Sports Park and the core venue Phoenix Mountain Sports Park have been completed, and they are expected to be completed in April 2021.
According to Chen Ziwei, head of the engineering and safety management department of China Resources Dongan Lake Sports Park, as the main venue for the opening ceremony of the Universiade, Dongan Lake Sports Park is undergoing renovation and installation of seats according to the requirements of the opening ceremony director team. It is expected that all seats will be installed by the end of February. The chairs will all be installed.
This year, more than a thousand workers will stay at the construction site for the New Year. The project department will do a good job of logistical support to allow workers to spend a peaceful and happy Chinese New Year.
