An investigation by "Emirates Today" revealed the existence of a group of accounts on social networking sites, specifically on "Instagram", that specialize in publishing local sports news, especially with regard to player transfers, and some of them have tens of thousands of followers.

It turned out that many of them stand behind the promotion of players. In an interview with Emirates Today, athletes saw that the promotion and spreading of rumors in player transfers often stand behind the agents of these players in coordination with these accounts, with the aim of creating a state of excitement and attracting the interest of other clubs to raise the value Financial player.

Through these accounts, a quantity of successive news is pumped about the player's condition and the approaching end of his contract, and talks about negotiations between him and his club, and the desire of other clubs to contract with him.

Emirates Today followed up a number of publications that were circulating through those accounts during the past few days, which showed that all of them were aimed at one purpose: to draw the attention of clubs and fans to the player's condition and his entry into the last six months of his contract, which created a state of pressure later on the player and his club. .

What attracts attention is that news of a player who follows an agent is more in one account than others, and does not find its way through these details in other accounts, which also publish information about specific players.

Al-Dhafra player Masoud Suleiman, who holds a master's in "Arts in Diplomacy" from the American University, emphasized, "The fact that there are certain accounts in social media that publish news about a player approaching the end of his contract, but do not publish weak statistics for the number of goals, matches or passes, but only suffices. By publishing the approaching end of his contract to create a state of excitement ».

Suleiman said: "By following what is being traded through these accounts, it became clear to me that most of the players who are promoted do not have statistics."

He added, "The main players with their clubs do not need such methods to market themselves. The aim is to draw the attention of more than one club to a specific player, and the masses also find themselves wading in the midst of rumors and putting pressure on their clubs."

The former Al-Jazeera player, Saleh Bashir, blamed the agents, players and the media, especially social media, for spreading and circulating rumors, indicating that there is a link between the three that the rumor originates and finds its way to the masses, and causes the player's price to rise or enter a new club in negotiations.

And he considered that the aim of the rumors is always to raise the value of the player, and he said: "The weak players are the ones who tend to this way because unfortunately it works with some clubs, but not with all of them. Some rumors cause pressure on clubs, but strong ones cannot be pressured in these ways." .

Saleh Bashir ruled out that the clubs were the ones leaking news about the existence of negotiations in order to relieve pressure on them from the part of the fans.

For his part, the CEO of Hatta Club, Ali Abdullah Al-Badwawi, admitted that some clubs precede the transfer market by passing rumors about their desire to sign specific players in order to relieve pressure on them from the part of the fans, but he stressed at the same time that there is a link between the players, agents and the media that are Rumors feed.

He said that the rumors aim to raise the marketing value of the player, which is directly affected by the club. He added: “Some players have valid contracts with clubs, but we are surprised by the spread of news that he intends to move, and when we follow these matters, we find that the media has transmitted these rumors on the tongue of an unknown source. ».

He concluded by saying: "In every club, there is an official spokesperson who can answer all questions, and when you take the news from the official side, the rumors are settled."

Al-Shaibani: Realtors and players are interested in the existence of rumors

The journalist, Hussain Al-Shaibani, confirmed that rumors rule the transfer market for players, and that club administrations are promoting fake deals for the sake of propaganda. He confirmed in his article in "Emirates Today" a few days ago that conversations are currently taking place between club administrations about successful deals involving prominent players.

Hussein Al-Shaibani said: “These conversations do not soon turn into mere speculation and rumors only to move the transfer market, and it seems that there are some brokers and players interested in launching rumors of attractive deals and offers, in order to move the transfer market, and propaganda for some players locally and abroad, to raise Their prices ».
