Another postponement linked to the epidemic.
The shock between La Rochelle and Toulouse, scheduled for Sunday at the end of the 15th day of the Top 14, has been postponed "to a later date" because of "several positive cases" of Covid-19 within the Toulouse workforce, a announced Friday the National Rugby League (LNR).
Toulouse Stadium coach Ugo Mola had said earlier at a press conference that "two positive cases" had been detected in the club and that a third player had "doubtful symptoms".
“The two positive cases are different since one of them is symptomatic and the other is not.
However, we must be measured and careful in the management of these cases, ”he added.
All staff isolated
The first case was detected on Tuesday and all workouts for the week have since been canceled.
"The entire professional workforce is placed in isolation", communicated the Toulouse Stadium on its social networks after the officialization of the postponement.
The players will remain in isolation "until next Wednesday, in accordance with the date of our first proven positive case," suggested Toulouse manager Jérôme Cazalbou.
Another match of the 15th day of Top 14, between Bayonne and Agen, had already had to be postponed due to positive cases of Covid-19 in the workforce of the SUA.
The LNR has also announced that the kickoff of the match between Stade Français and Castres has been postponed to Sunday from 2:45 p.m. to 9:05 p.m.
