It took a victory away against Gripen Trollhättan tonight for Örebro to go up in the elite series with four games left in the season.

Örebro was down 4-1 against Gripen Trollhättan 38 minutes into the first half and it looked like the advancement would be delayed.

But Örebro did not want to wait, so they turned the match around.

Really.

With seven minutes left, Örebro led by a full 10-5 and the final result was written to 11-5 and is now back in the elite series.

Five Swedish Championship golds

Once upon a time, it rained Swedish Championship gold over Örebro, with stars such as the World Cup silver medalist in football Orvar Bergmark and the legendary Olle Sääw.

Örebro played 60 years in the highest league and won five Swedish Championship golds, the most recent 54 years ago.

Since they left the Elite Series in 1990, Örebro has been back for three one-year stays, but is now hoping for more.

The team went like a steamroller through the Allsvenskan: most wins, most goals, least number admitted.

- We compete in everything we do and are a very united group, says team captain Sebastian Eriksson.

Builds wider association

The relatively new chairman Anders Bohmansson has made sure to change the club's statutes, from a pronounced elite association to an investment in young people and the future project ladies.

The club is now struggling with a difficult moment 22.

Success requires top players who cost money, who do not exist until you have an audience, sponsors and success.

- We try to build long-term and must establish the team in the long run.

Everything must work even if we were to leave the elite series.

The ambition must be reasonable also with regard to the economy, says Anders Bohmansson.

The proud story rests like a ghost or an inspiration over the association;

it's just to choose.

In the harsh reality, the team - right now - has only four players with an elite league routine.

Simon Folkesson has, for example, played in Västerås.

- We need to get the edge, and it can take a while to establish itself.

But Örebro can attract players here, it is a nice city to live in, says Folkesson.
