For his second participation in the Vendée Globe, Yannick Bestaven (Maître Coq IV) won the legendary race around the world.

He crossed the finish line in third position at 4:19 am last night, but thanks to a compensation (of 10 hours 15 minutes) obtained because he had diverted to come to the aid of Kevin Escoffier end November, he was finally declared the winner.

He saw one of his most serious competitors break in the finish

The skipper had to cross the line before 6:50 am and 48 seconds exactly Thursday morning to win the Vendée Globe.

He finally did not really tremble in the last hours of the race.

All the more so as Boris Herrmann, one of his most serious competitors who also had compensation (6 hours), hit a trawler and saw his hopes of victory soar on Wednesday evening shortly before 9 pm.
