Sebastian Vettel once gave his favorite joke in an interview in 2015.

The joke goes like this: "If a cowboy goes to the hairdresser, he comes out again - pony away."

That was five years ago, and we are telling it here because the German Formula 1 driver started his new career this week after his time at Ferrari.

On Wednesday, the Formula 1 driver showed up in his new company car for the first time.

A short clip shared by the Formula 1 racing team Aston Martin on Twitter shows how Vettel sits in the racing car for the so-called seat fitting.

The procedure of seat adjustment, which is not very sensational, is at the beginning of every Formula 1 season, the driver has to fit perfectly into his car in order to have full control of the racing car.

And that's how the video begins: unspectacular.

Vettel drives up to Silverstone, the headquarters of the racing team, goes into the building and mechanics scurry around the car.

Then Vettel's helmet can be seen with the Germany flag painted on.

After about thirty seconds he takes it off.

The lockdown cut now presented attracted a lot more attention than the look of the new car.

Or to say it with Vettel: "Pony away." Under a Twitter post from Formula 1, which had distributed screenshots from the video, the fans speculated that the last nerve-wracking time at the Ferrari racing team, for Vettel from 2015 to 2020 went to the start, could have cost him the last hair on his head.

Season start postponed to March 28th

At least Vettel is going the opposite way from Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton.

He began his career with short-cropped hair and now wears it for a long time.

After the postponement of the Australian Grand Prix, which should have taken place in mid-March, the new season starts on March 28th in Bahrain.

In addition to Sebastian Vettel's premiere at Aston Martin, Mick Schumacher will also complete his first race in the premier class of motorsport.
