Kolbeinn Sigthorsson came to AIK as a profile signing for the 2019 season but has not had any success in the club that he recently left prematurely.

It is now clear that the Icelandic national team player will stay in the Allsvenskan.

The 30-year-old has been introduced to IFK Gothenburg.

- I have always known the club and it feels exciting to be a part of it now.

I hope to come in with a positive energy and qualities that help the team directly, says Sigthorsson to the club's website.

Sigthorsson scored zero goals in five starts and 13 innings for AIK last season.

He has previously played for major international clubs such as Alkmaar, Ajax, Nantes and Galatasaray.
