Professional baseball team Chunichi announced that one coach of the 2nd army was infected with the new coronavirus, and several coaches who had a meeting with him were also on standby at home.

According to the baseball team, a PCR test was conducted on 152 people including managers, coaches, athletes, and team members on the 27th before the spring camp to be held in Okinawa Prefecture from the 1st of next month. It means that the infection of the general coach was confirmed.

Coach Tateishi is asymptomatic, has no abnormalities in his physical condition, and is receiving medical treatment at his home in Nagoya city.

Coach Tateishi was in the coach room in Nagoya Baseball Stadium on the 27th, wearing a mask and participating in a meeting in front of the camp for about 30 minutes, so the team participated in the number of 1st and 2nd armies together. About the coach of the person, I decided to wait at home.

In addition, on the 28th, we will disinfect the place where coach Tateishi stopped by at Nagoya Baseball Stadium and will consider future measures while following the instructions of the health center.

Before the camp from the 1st of next month, the 12 professional baseball teams have decided to undergo a PCR test before entering the site and to carry out regular tests about once a week thereafter.
