- The expectations are higher for me now.

But that's the price you have to pay.

If you want to break world records and win lots of prizes, people will expect more from you.

Now it's just up to me to deliver and perform as I should now, says Armand Duplantis.

After Armand Duplantis won all the prizes he was nominated for at the Sports Gala, he stopped by SVT's presenters Maria Wallberg and Michel Tornéus and talked about pressure, expectations and new heights.

- I put a lot of pressure on myself.

I so want to be good that nothing else matters.

It is clear that I want to make people around me proud, he says.

In other words, the press is nothing that bothers him.

- I want to jump high and win all the competitions I compete in. That passion outweighs everything else.

I do not think it will change in the near future, so I only look positively to the future.

"Needs to get a little better, it's a new world record"

Last year, he set two new world records in February.

In September, he also jumped the highest of all time outdoors and erased the last of Sergei Bubka's record.

This summer, the Olympics await.

On Sunday, the road there begins with the indoor premiere in Düsseldorf.

- At this level, it is a game with very few centimeters.

It is much harder to improve now, not like when you were fifteen and could put a new pb with fifteen cm each competition.

- It's tougher now, but I just enjoy that challenge.

I just need to get a little, a little better, it's a new world record.
