After La Diagonela over 60 km on January 16, which according to Norgren was carried out in down to minus 30 degrees in some parts, the cold blisters began to swell on her feet and she had to go to the hospital the next day to have them treated.

She had to give up a race in Italy on Saturday and has to rehab indoors because there are great risks with complications if cold injuries are exposed to new cold.

Now she hopes to be able to start skiing again soon.

Marcialonga is deleted from the calendar

"It seems to be healing as it should be.

I hope to start training outside next week ", writes Johansson Norgren and believes in a rehab period of between three and six weeks.

This means that Marcialonga will have to be deleted from her calendar this weekend.

If the injury heals according to the fastest forecast, it may be relevant with a comeback in Jizerska 50, Czech Republic, which will be decided on 14 February.

The next competition in Ski Classics after that is the season's highlight Vasaloppet 7 March.
