have come out alive by the hair of a very convoluted and full of traps game against the
Cleveland Cavaliers
(108-115) thanks to a
gigantic
LeBron James
who destroyed his former team with 46 points (19 of 26 in shots, 7 of 11 in triples).
James
also had 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in this monumental performance that allowed the
Lakers to
remain undefeated on the road so far this season after chaining ten consecutive wins.
The Angelenos continue to lead the
Western Conference
with 14 wins and 4 losses, which is the best record in the league.
In line with the little brilliant game of his team outside of James,
Marc Gasol
had a gray night with 2 points, 3 rebounds and an assist in 10 minutes on the court.
The Spanish was greatly diminished from the beginning, as he added his third foul when only three minutes of the first quarter had been played.
The
Lakers,
who suffered in much of the game against some very combative Cavaliers, had very little lucidity in attack, something that was exemplified by
Anthony Davis
(5 of 16 in shooting) and also their poor effectiveness from the perimeter (10 of 32 in triples among the whole team).
On the part of the
Cavaliers
, who are now left with 8 games won and 9 lost,
Andre Drummond
stood out
, who dominated the zone at will with 25 points (11 of 21 in shooting) and 17 rebounds.
Nothing indicated at the beginning of the
game
that the
Lakers
were going to suffer so much, since in the first quarter James released a good artillery charge (17 points, 4 of 5 in triples) to mark the first differences (23-33).
The second set continued in a placid way for those in purple and gold, with advantages ranging between ten points, although little by little
Drummond
was imposing his law on the paint (by the middle of the second quarter he had already achieved a double-double).
An acrobatic triple by
Cedi Osman
on the horn adjusted the score a bit before the break (58-65) and another two shots of three in a row by the forward just after the second half started turned the game around (70-69).

Cavaliers
began to believe that surprise was possible while the Lakers, who only made two shots from the field in the first six minutes of the third quarter, sank in attack between inaccuracies, lack of aim and concentration errors.
The effort and dedication of
Montrezl Harrell
sustained the
Lakers
before the fourth quarter (89-87), where
James
said enough and gave a resounding blow on the table.
With 21 points in the fourth quarter, including three triples (one of them almost from the middle of the court),

rescued his team in a magnificent way and thus paid a very scoring tribute to
Kobe Bryant
