Tottenham Hotspur was released with a shock in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Monday.

The 'Spurs' only made up a deficit against Championship club Wycombe Wanderers in the last minutes: 1-4.

Tottenham surprisingly fell behind halfway through the first half by a goal from Fred Onyedinma, but balanced the score just before half-time thanks to a goal by Gareth Bale.

Then there seemed to be an extension, but in the 86th minute Tottenham took the lead with a goal from Harry Winks.

Substitute Tanguy Ndombele then ensured a flattering result with two hits.

Steven Bergwijn stayed on the bench for the entire match at Tottenham.

The attacker has regularly been assured of a starting place this season, was unable to score in all competitions, but already gave five assists.

In the eighth finals, which will be played from 9 to 11 February, Tottenham awaits a game with Everton.

'The Toffees' settled 3-0 on Sunday with another Championship club: Sheffield Wednesday.

The FA Cup will have a different winner this year than last year anyway.

Defending champion Arsenal was eliminated by Southampton on Saturday (1-0).

Manchester United were the strongest in the squatter against Liverpool (3-2).
