The UAE futsal team tied with the Maliha club team with two goals each in its first matches in the Khorfakkan International Futsal Championship organized by the Futsal Executive Committee under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, and with the support of Sharjah Sports Council The national team scored the first point in the tournament from one match, while Mleiha raised its score to four points from two games.
The UAE national team goals were scored by Ahmed Mohammed Juma and Ali Al Khumri, while Maliha Fahd Ahmed scored twice.
In another match, the Bahraini youth team defeated Khorfakkan by three goals for one goal, as Ali Abdullah Jaafar, Ahmed Abdul Nabi and Mr. Fadel scored for the first, while Khorfakkan Omar Ali Al Naqbi scored.
The championship had started the day before yesterday and witnessed Al-Batayeh's victory over Iraqi Wasat Naft (3-1), Sharjah over Dibba Al-Hisn (6-2), Maliha over Al Hamriya (4-1), and Khor Fakkan over Ittihad Kalba (5-3).
