In the Ski Nordic Combined Men's World Cup, a group sprint was held at Lahti, Finland, where two people from one team competed in the first half of the jump and the second half of the cross-country skiing. I slipped.



Two teams from Japan participated, of which Akito Watabe and Ryota Yamamoto, who are ace players, jumped 121 meters 50, which is their specialty, and exceeded 116 meters of K points.



Watanabe and Yamamoto's team started the second half of the cross-country skiing in 3rd place, 4 seconds behind top Austria.

In the race, four teams including Japan, Austria and Germany formed the leading group, but Japan retreated at the 9km point and competed for third place with Austria and Germany.



Japan continued to slide tenaciously toward the end of the race, narrowing the gap with the top and finally finishing in 3rd place, approaching a 2.5 second gap.



This is the first time a Japanese team has been on the podium in this World Cup event.



Another Japanese team, Kodai Kimura and Sora Taniji, finished 12th.
