The former international football referee, Muhammad Al-Junaibi, said, "The level of arbitration in the Arab Gulf League was good in general, but he stressed that there are six observations that need to be reviewed, so that the level of arbitration is in the best condition."

He added that "mistakes are present, regardless of the quality of the general level," and he explained that "some of them affected the outcome of certain matches, besides that technology interferes with a point of view, as (the mouse) attended on occasions and was absent in others."

Regarding the observations, he said: “It is represented in the fact that some stadium judges do not make their decisions based on their presence in the appropriate place, in addition to the lack of stability in discretionary decisions during the match, as well as the absence of focus in certain cases in the penalty area, in addition to the interference of (the mouse) in the form Exaggerated in certain cases in the penalty area, as well as the absence of focus in cases of direct expulsion, which led to the intervention of the Committee of Appeal against arbitral decisions to cancel a number of them.

And also the lack of focus on the part of the rulers of the room (mouse), which results in the referee not summoning the center to verify the case more, before issuing a decision on it ».

Al-Junaibi told Emirates Today: “Rulers need to practice more and confront some of them with their mistakes, so that the training and educational process is sound.”

He continued: "The referee should not insist on a mistake in assessing the situation, and thus issuing the appropriate decision, especially if his decision is proven incorrect, and the correction was made after seeing the case through (the mouse)."

Al-Junaibi considered that "the two rulers, Hamad Ali Youssef and Sultan Muhammad Saleh, were the best among the 17 referees who ran the first round."

He said that they each managed 11 games out of 13.

He continued, "The red cards appeared 22 times in the first round, and the international referee, Omar Al Ali, used them most with six cards."

Al-Junaibi indicated that the first round witnessed the emergence of a number of referees, who were given the opportunity to manage matches in the Professional League.

Notes on judging performance:

1- Some referees do not make their decisions based on their presence in the right place.

2- Lack of stability in the discretionary decisions during the match.

3- Referee’s lack of focus on cases inside the penalty area.

4- The “mouse” intervention in amending the decisions taken within the penalty in an exaggerated way.

5- Lack of focus on direct expulsion cases, which leads to the cancellation of a number of them by the committee to object to arbitration decisions.

6- Lack of focus from some of the video judges, and the failure to call the middle referee in certain cases.
