Many challenges await the national football team this year, as there will be six important stops that will chart the future of the "white" with Dutch coach Marvik, on the journey to restore hope for the 2022 World Cup.

The most prominent challenge for Marvik and the national team, with the resumption of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup next March, will be winning the four second leg matches, while waiting for the results of the teams leading in Group G, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, in order to qualify for the final stage of the qualifiers.

The first of the six stations starts with the February camp, the second since Marvik’s return, and will be held between the sixth and the 10 February, during which Marvik will seek to benefit more from the points scored in the previous camp in January, and then a third camp in March between the 17 and 30 of the same month, during which he performs the first return matches. In the qualifiers, when it receives Malaysia in its 25th.

As for the fourth leg, it will be the Indonesia meeting on March 30th, and this match is not expected to be a great difficulty for Al-Abyad, as he beats him in the first leg by five clean.

The biggest challenge will be when it hosts Thailand on the seventh of next June, and the national team lost it in the first leg by two goals.

The national team will conclude its journey and its stations by meeting Vietnam on June 15th, in the 10th and final round of the second stage qualifiers, noting that "the white" lost from Vietnam in the first leg of zero in Hanoi.

The team ranks fourth in Group G with six points, while the group leads Vietnam with 11 points, Malaysia is in the runners-up with nine points, Thailand is third with eight points, while Indonesia is bottom of the group without points.

The Football Association has not yet decided the stadiums in which the matches of Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam will be played in the Emirates.

For his part, the former national team supervisor, Dr. Hassan Suhail, confirmed that Al-Abyad needed technical stability, as it was a basic requirement, and this finally happened by contracting with the Dutch coach Marvik.

He explained to "Emirates Today": "The team has found all the support, whether from the previous or the current Football Association, and nothing is missing, as everything has been provided for it to appear better."

He added: "The start of the national team was not good in the previous period until it starts its next matches comfortably, so it is required to win all its matches, provided that it deals with each match by piece."
