The steering committee of the National Rugby League has "validated the launch of the tender procedure" relating to the exploitation of the audio rights of the Top 14 for four seasons from 2023-2024, announced Thursday the governing body.

This call for tenders is made up of three lots, according to the League press release: packs 1 and 2 relate to the rights to broadcast matches live and in full as well as magazines, pack 3 relates to the coverage of the competition in the form of near-live extracts and summaries for digital exploitation.

A deadline of March 1

In total, for the whole, the reserve price is set at 105 million euros (75 million for pack 1, 27 million for pack 2 and 3 million for pack 3).

The candidates' bids are expected on March 1, 2021. Canal +, the Top 14 broadcaster, was awarded in 2018 the rights until the end of the 2022-2023 season for a sum of 388 million euros, or 97 million per season.
