However, in response to the state of emergency being declared to Osaka Prefecture earlier this month, the organizing committee of the tournament said that races using public roads could cause congestion along the road and induce an infection risk. , I was considering changing the course.
As a result, it was announced on the 21st that this year's race will be held on a course that goes around the Nagai Park where the stadium is located.
The new course will be completed at Yanmar Stadium Nagai after about 15 laps on a 2.8 km track in the park, and has already been certified by the World Athletics Federation and the athlete's record will be officially recognized.
Since it is not possible to watch the game along the course or at the stadium, the organizing committee of the tournament commented, "We will take measures against infection as much as possible, so please understand the event."
Honami Maeda and Mao Ichiyama, who have been appointed as representatives of the Tokyo Olympics, are scheduled to participate in the tournament.
