The French Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet took 3rd place on Thursday in the Individual of Anterselva (Italy), counting for the Biathlon World Cup and won by the Austrian Lisa-Theresa Hauser.

The Frenchwoman, who returned to the World Cup this winter after more than a year and a half of absence due to maternity, could have hoped for better without a fault in her last standing shot but still recorded her 2nd podium of the season after that of December 23 during the sprint of Kontiolahti.

The immense cracking of Justine Braisaz-Bouchet

The day was even more frustrating for Justine Braisaz-Bouchet.

In contention for the victory after three first rounds of shooting without the slightest error, the biathlete from Les Saisies totally cracked on her final standing shot by committing four faults and finally finished 43rd.

Hard return to reality also for Julia Simon, victorious Sunday of the mass start at Oberhof but in great difficulty with the rifle (7 errors), which relegated her to 62nd position.

The Norwegian Marte Olsbu Roeiseland also missed this Individual (31st) but she retains very little (7 points) the head of the general classification of the World Cup thanks to the poor performance of her compatriot and rival Tiril Eckhoff (18th).
