In addition to rehabilitating the so-called "hotel injury" she sustained during the Tour de Ski, Frida Karlsson has taken the opportunity to see the Norwegian championships in recent days.

The Swede was able to follow how Therese Johaug drove home her 16th NM gold when she won the race over five km.

Gold number 15 was all the more impressive - the Norwegian decided the skiathlon race after only 50 seconds.

- It seems to be consistent that she really gasps from the start.

Then there will not be much more.

She seems to want to "scare-open" a little.

So it's probably something to keep in mind if you are going to run a mass start race against her, says Karlsson.

Are you scared?

- No, it's probably a bit of the same tactic that I've run my whole life really.

When you are alert from the start, you drive with what you have.

I usually open a little hard, I'm a little known for that too so it suits me well.

How much such control do you try to have on the competitors when it comes to their tactics now before a championship?

How much are you preparing for something similar?

- It is clear that you should have a little different scenarios played out in your head.

But I think you can lose more by thinking about the competitors than you have to.
