Handball World Cup .. Russian bear in the grip of the Pharaohs

The Egyptian team revived its chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the World Handball Championship, which is currently being held in Egypt, after its precious and deserved 28/23 victory over the Russian Handball Federation today, Wednesday, in the first round of the fourth group in the main round of the tournament, which witnessed Slovenia's victory 21/31 against Macedonia Northern.

The Egyptian national team rose to the main role by obtaining second place in the Group G ranking in the group stage in the competition, while the Russian Federation plays this role, after it led the Group E ranking in the first round.

The Egyptian team was the best party in the match, and advanced in the result since the eighth minute of the match, as it ended the first half 15/8, before the match was decided in its favor by a difference of five goals at the end.

The tournament system stipulates that three teams from each group qualify after the end of the group stage matches, to the main round, provided that each team qualifies with the points obtained from its qualifiers.

Thus, the Egyptian national team raised its score to four points, to temporarily sit on top, with a goal difference in front of the closest elected Swedish and Slovenian chasers, equal with him in the same balance, before the Swedish national team's meeting with Belarus later today in the same round.

On the other hand, the balance of the Russian Federation stopped at three points in fourth place in the group standings.

It is reported that the leaders and runners-up of the group will qualify for the quarter-finals in the World Cup.
