Håkan Mild played for IFK for 15 seasons and has also been sports manager at the club for several years.

He was involved in winning the World Cup bronze with the national team in 1994.

In recent years, he has worked as a football expert at Radiosporten.

On Tuesday morning, the channel stated that he would leave his assignment on the radio and in the same vein called "Blåvitt" to a press conference where Håkan Mild was presented.

- I am very happy to have the opportunity.

IFK means a lot to me, says Mild at the press conference.

- I think I can be involved and contribute a lot.

There are many incredibly talented people in the club.

IFK Gothenburg had a heavy last year's season and finished twelfth in the Allsvenskan.

- For me, it is now important to look ahead, it will be very exciting to take on this, says Håkan Mild.

Thus, it is clear that Max Markusson is leaving his role as club director in the club.

- A new leadership is needed.

Max will leave.

We have brought in a person with an enormous winning mentality and a great deal of experience of our association, says chairman Mats Engström.

Håkan Mild begins his assignment immediately.
