As recently as last Monday, Alvik Basket crushed tonight's opponent Wetterbygden Sparks by a full 28 points.

But when the teams met tonight again, this time at Alvik's home ground, it was a completely different match.

Series leader Alvik could not be recognized at all and ended up at an early disadvantage and when the break whistle sounded, Sparks had the lead with 35-29.

Alvik managed to turn around

But in the second half, Alvik would set proper speed and grabbed the baton and turned the deficit into a 49-44 lead.

But Sparks came back and took the lead again with a maximum of three points.

Despite the heroic efforts of Wetterbygden, in the end they would not be able to go all the way.

Instead, Alvik managed to go around and win, led by the experienced American Janel Mccarville who scored 34 points, with 70-65.

Alvik thus extended its league lead and now leads by eight points ahead of runner-up A3 Umeå.

Wetterbygden remains in ninth place.

The star is ready for Alvik

Before the match, it also became clear that Abigail Asoro will return to Swedish basketball.

She most recently came from games in Poland and has previously won Swedish Championship gold with Umeå.

“I'm from Stockholm so it's natural to come here.

Alvik suits my style of play and it is a welcoming club ", says Asoro in a statement.
