  • The YesWePlay Football app allows players to enter their CV, statistics and videos that may be of interest to clubs.

  • Its Toulouse creators are very ambitious.

The Covid-19 and its confinements delayed the initiative.

But they didn't scuttle it.

The YesWePlay Football mobile application, which presents itself as a player recruitment platform, is available at the start of 2021. A new step for a group of young Toulouse people, aged 28 to 33, who had launched the eponymous association, in 2014, before gradually professionalizing their structure.

"Players can register, create their full CV, with videos, statistics," describes sales director Samir Layani.

The YesWePlay Football team in the company of the late Gérard Houillier, "who helped us a lot", assures Samir Layani (right next to Marc Bohui).

“We have very good feedback, the clubs are arriving.

We are now waiting for the big rush when the two parties will meet ”, continues the partner of Marc Bohui, president of YesWePlay Football.

The latter played at Toulouse Fontaines then at Colomiers, before moving to the reserves of clubs like Birmingham or Servette Genève.

Over the course of his travels, he has developed a network and experience, in order to encourage amateur players, in particular those not selected after having gone through a training center, to try their luck abroad.

The Covid-19 crisis, a boon for the app?

Can the app compete with agents?

“No,” says Samir Layani.

The two are complementary.

An agent can refine his searches thanks to us.

“Even the current very complicated period, with amateur championships at a standstill, does not alter the optimism of the young Toulousain.

“There are training sessions, the clubs are still active.

In addition, large structures no longer necessarily have the resources to make major transfers.

They are looking more and more towards the amateur world.

"

The app is currently available in French and English, before versions planned in Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish.

It is free for the first four months following registration for players (before a monthly subscription of € 4.99), and throughout 2021 for clubs (prices will then vary according to the level of the club).

"We are targeting more than 10,000 registered in two months and 100,000 over the year", asserts Samir Layani.
