Emil Iversen won the race before Pål Golberg and Sjur Röthe who all strengthened their chances of participating in the distance in the WC.

On the other hand, there was some discussion about Johannes Hösflot Kläbo who was 15th and thus was beaten by Sundby.

- I turned 15 on a day and I'm doing well in the WC, which is the only thing that matters, so I'm happy with that, Kläbo says cryptically according to NRK

He will announce on Monday whether he will compete in the skiathlon in Lahti's World Cup competition next weekend.

Then the Norwegian squad makes a comeback after standing over all the World Cup competitions since the premiere in Ruka at the end of November.

Sundby has a free space of 15 km

Sundby is the reigning world champion in 15 km and has a free space there that he will use.

In Seefeld 2019 it was in classic style while in Oberstdorf it is in freestyle.

But he is set to be the only appearance in the World Cup.

He had the hope of competing in 30 km, 50 km and everyone wants to run a relay.

- It's just scrapping all the plans I had.

I have to make a new plan until the beginning of the championship and maybe I have to start tonight, says Sundby.
