James Harden and the Rockets, it's over: the top scorer in the NBA for the past three seasons, who has never stopped expressing his wish to leave Houston, joins Brooklyn, where he will form a "Big 3" aiming for the title with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Reunion with Durant

Neither franchise has immediately formalized the transfer, described as a "blockbuster" by ESPN and the site The Athletic, who announced it first, and which they believe includes two other clubs, Indiana and Cleveland.

The Nets would have given in particular to Houston three to four first rounds of drafts, the Latvian winger Rodions Kurucs, as well as Caris LeVert, their 6th man very powerful.

Which was immediately traded by the Rockets with Victor Oladipo, star of the Pacers.

The Cavaliers sent back pivot Jarrett Allen and winger Taurean Prince from Brooklyn and sent shooting winger Dante Exum to Houston.

Harden, 31, will therefore find two other big stars in Brooklyn: winger Kevin Durant, with whom he played three seasons (2009-2012) in the Oklahoma City Thunder, and point guard Kyrie Irving.

They will bring up to date the "big 3", disappeared last year in the NBA.

And the Nets, currently in balance (6 wins, 6 losses) in 7th place in the East, to rise to the rank of favorites in the race for the title of champion, in a conference where Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Miami, all three in the ranks for Harden, appear to be their main rivals.
