A pure Brazilian final in "Libertadores", between Palmeiras and Santos

The final match of the Copa Libertadores South America will be purely Brazilian after Santos joined his fellow countryman Palmeiras, by beating Argentine Boca Juniors 3-0 in the semi-final second leg.

Diego Petuca (16), Leverson Sutildo (49) and Lucas Braga (51) scored the three goals, noting that Boca Juniors completed the match with ten players after Frank Fabra was sent off in the 56th minute. The two teams tied the first leg in Buenos Aires.

It is the first time that two teams from Brazil have met in the final since 2006, when Internacional beat Sao Paulo.

Palmeiras beat another Argentine team, River Plate, by beating them 3 - zero at home, then losing at home, 0-2.

Santos and Palmeiras, both from the state of Sao Paulo, will meet in the final on January 30th at the famous Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

It is noteworthy that the Libertadores Cup winner will compete in the World Club Championship in Qatar next month, along with the champions of other continents.

Santos will try to win the continental title for the fourth time, and Palmeiras for the second time.
