Feyenoord booked a difficult victory over PEC Zwolle in De Kuip on Wednesday.

Thanks to a goal from Luis Sinisterra, who managed to score for the first time in more than eleven months, the Rotterdam team won 1-0.

The 21-year-old Sinisterra got the ball halfway through the second half with some luck from a scrimmage and hit the short corner.

The Colombian was only on the field for twenty minutes after he came on at the start of the second half.

Sinisterra made his first playing minutes of the season in December and on Sunday he was in the starting line-up for the first time against Sparta (0-2 win).

The attacker had been sidelined since February last year due to a serious knee injury.

For Feyenoord, Sinisterra's goal was the highlight of an otherwise poor match.

The Rotterdammers were given several opportunities to open the score earlier, mainly through winter acquisition Lucas Pratto, but failed to do so.

Thanks to the victory over PEC, Feyenoord climbs to second place in the Eredivisie and now has just as many points as leader Ajax and number three Vitesse.

The team from Amsterdam can increase the lead on Thursday when they visit FC Twente.

The Classic is on the program in the Johan Cruijff ArenA on Sunday.
