On December 20, ski cross-country skier Alexandra Edebo, 24, suffered a concussion.

Edebo collided with the Canadian Zoe Chore and hit the hill.

Since then, Edebo has been away from training and competition.

Now it is also clear that the 24-year-old will miss the World Cup competitions in Idre next week.

- She is not close to competing, says national team doctor Jakob Swanberg to Dalarnas Tidning.

"Feeling much fitter"

To SVT Sport, Alexandra Edebo says that she is starting to recover more and more.

- I think I feel much better.

It was a pretty tough period a lot of sitting still, doing nothing.

I knew the more I would do the worse it would get and it's quite frustrating for someone who likes to move around and have things to themselves.

But now I have come to a point where I take longer walks.

I feel much more alert and start to get back to the same mood, she says to SVT Sport.

Edebo opens for the World Cup

The Freestyle World Cup, which was to be decided in China in February, was canceled due to the corona pandemic.

On Monday, information came that Sweden can host the world championships in ski cross and snowboard cross.

Do you dare to dream of a World Cup start?

- Yes, I think it's stupid to count out something that can happen.

I expect to drive and then you have to take the disappointment if they do not get rid of.
