It was in the small final of the World Cup competition in Val Thorens on December 20 that Alexandra Edebo hooked up with the Canadian Zoe Chore and was thrown away before she hit the hill.

The 24-year-old was left lying on the hill for more than 20 minutes before she was taken to hospital with a concussion.

More than three weeks after the crash, Edebo is still not well.

She thus misses the World Cup competitions in Idre next week.

- She is not close to competing.

It is not possible to start her in Idre next week.

First we have to make her feel good and after that you have to step up the load on skiing, says national team doctor Jakob Swanberg to Dalarnas Tidning.

Risk of missing the World Cup

Swanberg currently does not know how long Edebo will be gone.

- Unfortunately, it is not possible to say.

What we can do is relieve the brain as much as possible and try our best, he says.

Now, continued work with the brain ladder awaits Edebo, who under the circumstances is feeling quite well.

It is not certain that Edebo will be on the starting line if it is the World Cup at home in Idre.

- My hope is that it will get better and there has been a clear turn to the positive.

When you see it turn, it usually continues in that direction, but it is impossible to say the exact time direction.

We can not say that the World Cup is over, but there will be no start in Idre, says Swanberg.

Earlier in December, Edebo took her first victory in the World Cup when she won in Arosa.
