Striker Mia Jalkerud, 31, has scored goals for Djurgården for a total of a decade but chose to take a break from football when she and her partner Gudbjörg Gunnarsdottir, 35, had twins a year ago and they did not get along everyday.

Goalkeeper Gunnarsdottir has played for Stockholmsklubben for almost as long and retired from childbirth to damallsvenskan at the end of the season.

But now the duo is leaving Djurgården for games in Norwegian Arna-Björnar where the conditions offered were something they looked for but did not find on Swedish soil.

They will play football full time, train during the day and at the same time get help with the children when needed.

"All credd for solving it"

The twins will start preschool in Norway, but during training and matches, one person will be available as a babysitter.

- Really all cred to them for having solved it for us, it's powerful.

I really hope we can give back.

Did you feel compelled to go to Norway to solve it?

- I think it is still a problem to have children and play.

In our seat, it's even worse as we both have to play and clubs may only need one of us.

But no one here has been interested in making this kind of deal.

More complicated than expected

The striker thinks it has been more complicated than she imagined having children and playing football at the highest level.

- If you get good conditions in other respects, it is possible to play and have children.

There, many clubs have something to work with.

There is a person who will help us for an hour a day.

We have never had millions in salary but this is what we wanted to go around.

Djurgården could not meet us there, says Mia Jalkerud.

For Mia Jalkerud, the departure from Djurgården was not desirable at all.

According to her, it is instead that coach Pierre Fondin has expressed that he does not want her.

- The coach wants "Gugga" but not me.

I can not be under a coach who does not want me.

It's not edifying or fun at all.

No door closes for Djurgården

She has not received any explanation other than that he wants to invest in others, despite the fact that she has asked sports director Jean Balawo several times.

SVT also does not receive any explanation from Fondin who does not want to comment on players who have left.

Now Jalkerud hopes instead that there is interest in the future.

- Everyone knows how much I want to play there, but it is to a certain extent what you can handle.

There is no door I close and thank you for me so without it would be fun maybe later.
