It is a corona outbreak that causes health authorities in the canton of Bern to stop Wengen's competition weekend.

It is now being moved to Kitzbühel, Austria.

Samples during Christmas showed that 27 out of 200 tested in Wengen had covid-19, writes NRK.

This weekend, 16-17 January, two slalom competitions for men will be decided in Kitzbühel, where one was originally planned to be run in Wengen.

A downhill run from Wengen is missing from the calendar

Until the weekend of January 22-24, Kitzbühel will remain as a regular competition weekend with the classic downhill Hahnenkamm race on Saturday.

Also on Friday, a downhill race is run on the slopes, but it is Wengen's moved race that is carried out.

On Sunday, a super-G is run on the slopes.

After a diligent puzzle between Wengen and Kitzbühel, there is no downhill for Wengen.

The International Ski Federation, Fis, will communicate the resort for that downhill later.
