Bad luck again.

Sebastien Loeb is forced to abandon the Dakar after failing to complete the 8th stage on Monday.

The nine-time world rally champion suffered two punctures according to the organizers.

The British BRX team's assistance truck was unable to reach the driver with the appropriate equipment to allow the repair following his second puncture, forcing the Frenchman to throw in the towel.

Loeb, 46, was taking part in his fifth Dakar.

He has two more withdrawals in 2016 and 2018 and finished 2nd in 2017 and 3rd in 2019.
