Haksabanovic became the Allsvenskan's most expensive signing so far when Norrköping bought him from the Premier League club West Ham this summer.

Norrköping is said to have paid around SEK 25 million.

The offensive midfielder started - just like the rest of the team - the season brilliantly, but the Allsvenskan 2020 ended in a sixth place, a real failure.

Conflict-filled time

Manager Jens Gustafsson left the club in December with one year left on his contract and in the past month, IFK Norrköping has been shaken by a number of notable conflicts.

Several leaders have left the association and openly criticized Peter Hunt's leadership style.

At the same time, new coach Rikard Norling is working to form a squad for the season.

Haksabanovic, who has several years left on his contract, has publicly made it clear that he does not want to be part of it.

-My future is somewhere away from Sweden.

Jens is the only reason why I ended up in IFK from the beginning.

His personality, knowledge and way of watching football suited me.

We did not always think the same but we respected each other and that developed me.

Now that he has left, I see no reason to continue if I am to be completely honest.

There is concrete interest

-The reason why I came here is gone.

I think it's wrong that Jens is gone but he himself must have had a good reason to leave.

I know he felt good here and we players felt good with him.

Now I do not know what to say, but I do not like what I read and have my thoughts on it all, he says to Expressen.

According to Haksabanovic, there are interested clubs, but he believes that IFK Norrköping does not show any willingness to negotiate.

-There is a great interest and a concrete interest from a large group and football family.

I want to go there, period, and IFK knows that.

Nothing has changed, says Haksabanovic.

-I think that chairman Peter Hunt treats me like air and shows zero respect and that is kind of said on my part.

Hunt's comments on Haksabanovic's statements:

-We do not comment on this type of statement.

We have pretty good control and work quite hard to put the squad for the coming season.

Since what individual players want or think, I have no comment on.

There are always views on one thing or another, but again, I can not go into any controversy or comment on it at all, he says to Expressen.
