The Browns had not played a playoff game since 2002 and had not won a playoff game since 1995. Therefore, few believed in the team when the opponent was the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers, who impressed during the season and who have one of the league's best defenses, would, according to most experts and supporters, get an easy journey as the team has won the last 17 games against the Browns at home.

But it was not easy.

Record by Roethlisberger

The Browns shocked the Steelers by scoring 28 points in the opening quarter, the largest total in a playoff game since 1970, allowing the team to control the game until the final whistle.

This despite the fact that Ben Roethlisberger, quarterback in the Steelers, accounted for four touchdowns by throwing a record 68 throws, of which 48 to the right address, and a total of 501 yards.

Leading the winning Browns were Baker Mayfield who threw for three touchdowns, Kareem Hunt who ran in two touchdowns and the team's defense that made sure to push the Steelers to four interceptions.

Kansas next for the Browns

- The defense played well during the first half but we stopped and let the Steelers come back into the game, but this was a fantastic team victory.

All the players stood up and I am proud of everyone, says Baker Mayfield who was not even born the last time the team took their latest playoff victory.

For Cleveland, the reigning champions Kansas City Cheifs are now waiting in the next round and you need to show a similar game, if not better, to have a chance there.
