The Japanese people are asking for the Olympics to be postponed or canceled

Japan's Kyodo News Agency revealed that 80% of the Japanese people agreed on the necessity to postpone or cancel the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo after they were postponed from last year for the current year due to the Corona pandemic crisis.

According to the poll published by the agency on Sunday, 35.3% of the participants voted in favor of canceling the two sessions, while 44.8% saw the need to postpone them again.

These demands come as Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga declared, last Thursday, a month-long state of emergency in his country due to the exacerbation of the emerging coronavirus crisis in Tokyo and the surrounding areas.
