Manchester City and Chelsea reach the fourth round of the FA Cup

Manchester City and Chelsea advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup after defeating their hosts Birmingham City and Morecambe, respectively, on Sunday in the third round of the competition.

Manchester City beat Birmingham, who play in the Championship League 3/0, while Chelsea beat Morecambe 4/0, who competes in the third division (League Two).

Manchester City decided matters in his favor since the first half, as Bernardo Silva scored the first and second goals for the team of Spanish coach Josep Guardiola in the eighth and 15th minutes, while Phil Foden added the third goal in the 33rd minute.

And at (Stamford Bridge), Chelsea had no difficulty in defeating Morecambe 4-0, as Mason Mount scored the first goal for the London team in the 18th minute, before Timo Werner and Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the second and third goals in the 44th and 49th minutes, respectively, and ensured Kai Havertz scored the fourth goal in the 86th minute.

Barnsley, who plays in the Championship, rose to the fourth round in the competition, after winning a precious 2-0 victory over its guest Tranmere Rovers, an activist in (League Two).

Bristol City, a rival in the Championship, joined the ranks of the fourth round qualifiers, with a 2-1 victory over Portsmouth, who plays in the second division (League One).
