The Mainz professional Edimilson Fernandes tested positive for the corona virus again last Friday.
As the Bundesliga club announced one day after the game against Eintracht Frankfurt (0-2) on Sunday, the 24-year-old Swiss international was immediately isolated from his teammates and is currently in quarantine.

Midfielder Fernandes had already tested positive in late summer 2020.
"Whether the current positive test is a residual virus load from the previous infection or a new infection is currently still being investigated," said a message from FSV Mainz 05.
The test results of all other people in the test series were negative.
Nevertheless, the Mainz players will carry out additional testing this week in addition to the tests that are already required as part of the hygiene concept, it said.
All measures were carried out in close cooperation with the medical department of the FSV, the hygiene officers of the club and the local health authorities.
