Armand Duplantis set a world record in pole vault twice last year, and is a giant favorite for the Jerring Prize, which is voted for by the Swedish people.

One of the challengers is Victor Hedman, who was voted the most valuable player in the NHL playoffs when his Tampa Bay won the Stanley Cup playoffs.

"Hard to beat it"

But he himself does not seem to be particularly hopeful of receiving the Jerring Prize.

- It's hard to compare, but I did not break any world records, so it's hard to beat Armand when it comes to that, he said with a smile when he visited SVT Sports' broadcast of the JVM semifinal between Canada and Russia, and continued:

- But it is the biggest thing I have been through and the biggest thing I have achieved as a hockey player.

But it's hard to beat.

I do not know what it will be in that case ... You have to beat (Wayne) Gretzky's record really, to break the world record.

But I get to see (Steven) Stamkos and (Nikita) Kucherov as much as possible, so they have to make sure to put them there.
