It was an exciting end in Denver last night.

With 31 seconds left and a two-point lead for away team Phoenix, the comeback kings Denver had a chance to get back on track through two penalty throws.

Penalty throw became vomit

But Phoenix coach Monty Williams challenged the foul decision and forced the referees to take another look at the sequence.

On the replay, it turned out that Phoenix spearman Mikal Bridges managed to slip past Denver's Gary Harris without touching him and instead of double penalty throws, the new decision became a throw-in.

Chris Paul decided

The coach duel would be even more fruitful when Phoenix won the draft and went on one last attack where Chris Paul decided with 7.4 seconds left.

Denver also got to a final finish to take the game to extra time but Jamal Murray's three-point attempt came no closer than close.

In the red-hot Suns, who now rise as league leaders in the Western Conference after five wins and one loss, DeAndre Ayton (11 rebounds) and Devin Booker were the top scorers with 22 points each.

Matchmaker Chris Paul stayed on 21 points.
