Yannick Bestaven again widened the gap with his two pursuers, Charlie Dalin and Thomas Rettant.

The French skipper Yannick Bestaven (Maître Coq IV) kept a little more than 160 miles (around 301 km) on his runner-up Charlie Dalin (Apivia), Saturday at midday, while the two sailors are on the verge to cross Cape Horn.

As Cape Horn points its dismal silhouette on the horizon of the two leaders, the wind only strengthens in Drake Strait and the sea swells to the point of breaking.
