According to the Japan Sumo Association, as a result of the inspection, it was confirmed that 11 new people, including Arashio Stable and Juryo Wakamotoharu, were infected with the new coronavirus.



Of the 12 people, including Wakatakakage, 3 have symptoms such as fever, but all have mild symptoms.



Also, when the Sumo Association confirmed with 12 infected people, there was no contact with wrestlers in other rooms.



Shibatayama, the public relations manager of the Japan Sumo Association, said, "Since the date is close to the first place on the 10th of this month, it is difficult for wrestlers to participate in the rough room. I want to hold the first place somehow."
