Former footballer and former coach Eusebio Sacristán is undergoing emergency surgery for a clot in his head, which occurred after suffering a fall on Wednesday night, according to El Norte de Castilla.
Eusebio suffered the accident in a hotel establishment and was transferred to the Valladolid Clinical Hospital by ambulance.
After spending the night under observation, the clot was detected so it was decided to operate "to relieve intracranial pressure and thus avoid further complications," the newspaper reports, citing hospital sources.
The 56-year-old former La Seca player has been in Valladolid since he left the Girona bench at the end of the 2018-19 season with the team's relegation to the Second Division.
